Working hours for international students
Under Australian student visa conditions, international students can work:
- Up to 48 hours per fortnight (two weeks) during study periods.
- Unlimited hours during official semester breaks and holidays.
At the minimum casual wage of $31.19 per hour, students working the maximum 48 hours can earn approximately $1,497.12 per fortnight.
Please be in mind that the Australian Government is strict about working hour limits. Exceeding these restrictions may result in visa suspension or cancellation.
