The Visitor Visa 600 is an Australian visa that allows individuals to visit Australia for various purposes, including tourism, family visits, business-related activities, and short-term study.   • No debt to Australian Government: If you or your family member have a debt to the Australian Government, you need to pay back or arranged to pay back that debt. 
  • Genuine Visitor: You must prove that your visit to Australia is solely for genuine visiting purposes and that you have no intention to overstay your visa or seek permanent residency in Australia. 

 Sponsored Family Stream  

This stream is for people who are visiting family members in Australia. The requirements for this stream are similar to the Tourist Stream. However, you will typically need an eligible sponsor in Australia.  

  • Health requirements: You may be required to undertake a health check before you can be granted this visa.  
  • Character requirements: You must demonstrate that you have enough money or have access to sufficient fund that can cover all the expenses during your stay in Australia. 
  • Finance Requirements: You must demonstrate that you have enough money or have access to sufficient fund that can cover all the expenses during your stay in Australia. 
  • No debt to Australian Government: If you or your family member have a debt to the Australian Government, you need to pay back or arranged to pay back that debt. 
  • Genuine Visitor: You must prove that your visit to Australia is solely for genuine visiting purposes and that you have no intention to overstay your visa or seek permanent residency in Australia. 
  • Have a sponsor in Australia:  
  • For the visa purposes, the sponsor for this stream must be a partner, parent, child, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece or nephew of the applicant, or the step equivalent of the above. 
  • Your sponsor must be an Australia citizen or Permanent Resident and have been living for the last 2 years in Australia.  
  • The sponsor must be able to pay a security deposit (usually between AUD5,000 to AUD15,000 per person) if required.  

 Business Visitor Stream  

This stream is for businesspeople who need to visit Australia for short business-related trips, such as attending meetings or conferences. You usually need a letter of invitation from an Australian business or organisation. The specific requirements for this stream are below:   

  • Health requirements: You may be required to undertake a health check before you can be granted this visa.  
  • Character requirements: You must demonstrate that you have enough money or have access to sufficient fund that can cover all the expenses during your stay in Australia. 
  • Finance Requirements: You must demonstrate that you have enough money or have access to sufficient fund that can cover all the expenses during your stay in Australia. 
  • No debt to Australian Government: If you or your family member have a debt to the Australian Government, you need to pay back or arranged to pay back that debt. 
  • Genuine Visitor: You must prove that your visit to Australia is solely for genuine visiting purposes and that you have no intention to overstay your visa or seek permanent residency in Australia.

 Approved Destination Status Stream  

The Approved Destination Status Stream 600 is a visa stream under the Australian Visitor visa (subclass 600) that allows citizens of certain countries to travel to Australia for tourism purposes as part of an organized tour group. This stream is designed for individuals from countries with an approved destination status agreement with Australia. The requirements for this Stream 600 visa may vary slightly depending on the specific agreement in place, but here are some common requirements:

  • Character requirements: You might be required to provide the police check for every country you spent for 12 months or more. 
  • Finance Requirements: You must demonstrate that you have enough money or have access to sufficient fund that can cover all the expenses during your stay in Australia. 
  • No debt to Australian Government: If you or your family member have a debt to the Australian Government, you need to pay back or arranged to pay back that debt. 
  • Genuine Visitor: You must prove that your visit to Australia is solely for genuine visiting purposes and that you have no intention to overstay your visa or seek permanent residency in Australia.

How to apply for a Visitor Visa 600? 

Step 1: Prepare the required documentation 

You need to gather all required documents. The required documents may vary, depending on your country of originality. However, below is general documentation for a visa visitor 600.   

  • Identify document: A copy of the identification page of your passport and your national identify card if you have one.  
  • Financial Documents: Evidence that you have sufficient funds to cover your stay in Australia during your visitor visa 600.

  • Evidence that your company is actively operating 
  • Details of your stay plan in Australia and details of your Australian business contacts 
  • Evidence that you previously contact Australia businesses. 

 Step 2: Apply online 

You must apply online via ImmiAccount on the Australian Department of Home Affairs website.  

  • Log in or create a new ImmiAccount.   
  • Fill out the application form accurately.   
  • Attach the required documents to your online application.  
  • Pay the application fee.  

 Step 3: Wait for the visa outcome  

  • Depending on your nationality and personal circumstances, you may need to provide biometrics as part of the application process.   
  • The Department of Home Affairs also may require you to complete health examinations after you lodge your visa application.   
  • If your visa is approved, you will receive a visa grant notification with details of your visa grant number, the expiry dates and visa conditions.
