Where to look for a scholarship when applying Universities in Australia?
Each year, a large number of scholarships are provided by the Australian Government, Australian Schools and Universities, and other several public and private organisations, which aim to provide financial assistance to international students studying in Australia. The problem is where to find them?
Two bodies are available for scholarships that are not tied to universities or schools, meaning that you can be eligible for these awards if you are applying to several schools. They generally have a list of participating universities and receive many applicants, so expect some competition.
Australia Awards Scholarships – These awards are provided by the Australian Government and eligible for students who are looking to study full time at their list of participating universities and TAFE institutions only. The scholarships also generally cover higher amount and includes air fare to and from Australia, OSHC, and living allowances.
Endeavour scholarships and fellowships – The scholarships are more limited to postgraduate and research, Vocational Education and Training (VET), and professional placement candidates. They are only awarded to students of these countries.
Besides these two, individual universities and schools typically have their own awards and grants offered to students that are applying to their schools.
